Using a Cobra slide to replace a Lorcin slide

Postby gotazincgun » Sun Dec 25, 2016 2:18 am

Hi Folks, I am new to posting here. Had a question about replacing a Lorcin .380 slide with a Cobra .380 slide. I thought the Cobra would fit right onto a Lorcin frame, but that is not how it worked. Not sure why it won't fit. If anyone has some info about replacing lorcin slides, I would appreciate hearing it.

Got pics?
From my own experience, Cobra CA380 slides will fit the Davis P380 and Cobra FS380 slides will fit the Lorcin L380. Done 'em both.
If you have a Lorcin LH380, you are out of luck.

Is there a sticky on this site that helps with picture posting problems? I am trying to download some pics from Tinypic, but they are coming out way to large. So far the only fix I see is too reload them onto tinypic and resize them at that time. Perhaps someone knows of a faster way?

I use photobucket. It can be slow and frustrating but it works.

When you use TinyPic you have to click on the "Resize" down arrow and switch from Default (which IS huge) and choose either Message Board (640x480) or 15" screen (800x600).

I agree with Jeff, it's a pain but it works. I still use TinyPic despite those annoying pop up ads.

If you're doing the CA380 slide to a Davis P380, here's a link with some information: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3056 In this post, forum user "Banned for Life' noted that in his case he had to do some minor fitting with a flat file.

Here's a link to a slide comparison I did a while back: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2776
