succesful day of shooting with my hp22a

Postby rgabbert » Thu Nov 19, 2015 9:43 am

Hi all, last posted about taking the Phoenix out and having the recoil spring wind itself into a knot before I
ran a mag through it. I tore it down, replaced the spring(correctly this time) and took it out last Wednesday. All's
well, no problems. Fired several mags and loved it. This little pistol feels so nice in my hand,
I was in Goodwill and saw a box of 2" Christmas tree colored balls for a buck, looked like targets to me.
Sure enough, they made great targets and the Phoenix made short work of them, shooting at around 25'.
Yesterday my youngest grandson brought his latest lady friend by to introduce her to us, and to talk me into
going shooting, not much of a struggle. Kate, the new lady, turned out to be a ringer, came close to out shooting
both myself and the grandson, using the Phoenix mostly. They both love it, grandson now wants to get her a
Phoenix for an xmas gift.

Sounds like a good time. Glad to hear the pistol worked well.

Good to hear. I agree with you they feel great in my hand, and mine eat every type of ammo I feed it. Just try to remember to shoot standard velocity ammo in it... that's the only caveat (and bummer).

That's one I've thought about getting, in spite of the issues with the frame some people have had.
When I see five weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of a hundred people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.
