Well, over a year later but I finally got one. Seems pretty decent, better quality than I figured it would be. Haven't shot it yet but intend to this week.

I am confused as to the point of the top hammer block safety. I cant see a reason to ever put it on, other than for disassembly.

Congrats on your new gun!
The safety? I think it's a lawyer feature.

Well took the HP25 out today. Kind of a hectic day at the range because it got crowded. Mixed bag with the HP. It ran the 3 mags with no issues, wasn't really shooting for accuracy but seems to shoot low or could be me...been awhile! But, after the last round of the last mag the thing locked up. Mag wouldn't come out, slide wouldn't go forward. I eventually got it to slide forward by pushing it slightly and got it home.

It seems either the magazine catch or the magazine interlock safety is broken. I can remove the magazine with the magazine safety both off and on(I bought this new and did not modify anything). If I withdraw/insert the magazine with the safety in the incorrect position it seems to stick the magazine release button in and I need to draw the button out with a knife as a wedge. I am not sure if the parts are just new/stiff or if something is broken in there.

I'll try and get it out again.

Pull off the left grip and look at the linkages; it sounds like something's gone astray in there.
Let me know if you need pics for comparison purposes.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like I figured it out. The safety spring(part 225 on numrich) which interacts with the safety notches under the grips and applies pressure to the mag release was causing the issue. It looks like the safety plate itself where the notches for the spring are were riding on top of the spring. I tightened the grip harder and that seemingly fixed it. Anyone else have this issue?

I've had that happen to me when I put one back together too hastily. The safeties can be a PITA.

Geez, that Numrich schematic is tough to read... LOL
Here's a cleaner image.

It is! Is the grip itself applying pressure on the safety plate to stay down so the spring can engage it? It seems like it is going to be fairly easy for it to pop over it again.

The grip shouldn't need to apply pressure. The 'safety plate' is beneath, and held in position in three spots: the slide, the magazine safety, and the magazine release button. Here's how things should be configured:

Hmm, that is what mine looks like when I slide the spring and safety into the correct position. It seems like it may pop out of place next time I fire though. Maybe it needs a stronger spring?
