I finally found a local Raven

Postby bumthum » Wed May 17, 2017 6:44 pm

I've been searching for a Raven locally, for years. I guess it's not tacticool enough for the local gunshops, because I only received judgement when I asked about them in the past. Fortunately, one of the newer stores in the area is owned by a guy who's been around and, when asked about a Raven he had in his display case, he recounted his interactions/business dealings with the original Raven Arms company and how positive experience with the pistol convinced him to carry them in his shop, back in the day.

So... I bought this early (Ser# 015XXX) Baldwin Park, with Bianchi leather for $99. The deal was done, I put about 40 rounds through it that day and it ran really well. Now I've got the bug... I hope this doesn't become another obsession like SKSs did.

Wow, indeed. The combination of Baldwin Park, the condition, and the price make this an exceptional find!

Congrats on a beautiful pistol.
Unfortunately, you have the bug and it won't go away. (Believe me)

Bumthum, what are you using to take your pics? The two you've posted of the J22 and Raven are excellent.

Thank you everyone for your comments.

These photos are actually taken with the camera on my Samsung S7. I've been nothing but impressed with it as a camera for most day to day use.

Yup, I do most of my photos with an S7 also. Phone cameras keep getting better and better.
