Hy Hunter Chicago Cub revolver with folding trigger

Postby Flowmaster » Fri Dec 20, 2019 7:09 am

A guy at the local gun club showed me his Hy Hunter Chicago Cub. Its a 22 short revolver with a folding trigger. It looks very RG, but it could have been made by HS or another company. It had a very 1960s cheapie flavor to it. I asked the guy if he wanted to sell it and he was just showing it off really because he knows I like those guns. He said he bought it in 1967 and carried it frequently back then.

Here is an advertisement for it. A whopping $16.95!

I found one that sold on egunner (part of budsgunshop) for $230.

Another sold alongside a derringer for under $100 on another auction website, but I can't find it right now.

These guns seem to be kind of rare. Have you folks ever encountered one?

I've seen one for sale on one of the online auctions a few years ago, but that's it -until now.
