Charter Arms parts interchangeability

Postby adam01364 » Mon Feb 04, 2019 4:04 pm

Does anyone know if parts from the Shelton (current production) Charter Arms revolvers fit the earlier Charter Arms revolvers made in Bridgeport, Stratford, Ansonia, etc.? Specifically interested in putting Shelton parts into a Stratford frame.

I've read somewhere that Charter revolvers have 2 frame sizes which are very similar when compared side-by-side. Supposedly the smaller frame was used for the original Undercover .38, the Pathfinder .22, the Undercover .32, and the Off Duty .38 while the not-much-larger frame was used for the Bulldogs (.38, .357, & .44).
