sterling 302 22LR SEAR SPRING LOCATION

Postby JOHNNYO » Sun Nov 25, 2012 7:18 pm

Hi everyone just purchased some parts for the gun. Have not touched it in years the sear spring was broken in two pieces. Can't figure out how and where it belongs. All the schematics show the general location but not very specific. Any help would be nice, pics what ever will help i'm stumped! Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum, JohnnyO. There is a copy of the owner's manual with a diagram on Steve's pages, maybe it will help you out. http://stevespages.com/pdf/sterling_302.pdf If not, just say so and perhaps one of forum members who owns a Sterling 302 will post some pics.

Thanks for the welcome Jeff and Adam. I have the copy that you showed. That's what I referred to as general info but thanks for the good try. Sorry I didn't reply faster I was driving.

Hm. Is it item no 9 in the Stevespage diagram? And, can you post a picture of the part in question?

I'm in the woods deer hunting. If you can look up a sight rocket science for a sterling 302 it's item no. 37
