Old Hi-Point C9 slide vs Newer C9 slide

Postby adam01364 » Wed Nov 13, 2013 1:22 pm

I know that Hi-Point has revised their slide design even further (better slide serration location) but nevertheless I thought this was interesting. I had an parts kit that contained some "unusual" parts; it appears they are from an early C9.

The "older" ones also had fixed rear sights.

the old ones with the fixed sights are also a bit heavier and fatter even to the point of not fitting into the Fobus holsters.

I'd love to get my paws on one "just because".

The rest of the gun that goes with that slide. Otherwise that slide is pretty useless to me at the moment.
My guess is the frame that matches up to that old slide is a metal one. It'd go well with my metal framed Stallard JS-9. ;)
