Great to see the pictures. You can polish the rust spot in the chamber using a mop and some chrome polish, silver polish, or whatever you have kicking around. I've found that chambers don't polish too well using toothpaste. It'll smell minty fresh, but that's about it.

That J22 will probably be pretty accurate with the micro-groove style barrel.

That barrel can out looking pretty good! Since it's a later style J-22 your can get replacements for anything from Jimenez (doesn't look like you will though) Nice work!

I'd be a little concerned about the integrity of that slide personally. Frame and small parts look great though.

Yes, in theory electrolysis will work on non-ferrous metals. Afterall, zinc is normally used as a sacrificial anode in water heaters to prevent oxidation of the ferrous components. I've never actually seen some use that process to remove oxidation from zinc though, the process should just be the reverse though.
