The ravens spring goes over the barrel too...maybe we've discovered the reason behind the problems u've been having with ur j22..time for u to go take it apart...take some pix too if u can...
I disassembled my JA and J guns as well as the Ravens. Both Ravens have the recoil spring under the barrel and both J guns have the spring around the barrel.
1. Who the heck would mill out zamak like that? I really hope it is for exhibition and not being shot that way. Wonder what the barrel notch is for?
2. Spring under for Raven, spring around for J22.
3. If in doubt where the spring is located, we have a TECH reference section with a whole lot of exploded diagrams for these little wonders. Just compare the Raven parts diagram to the J22 diagram........I just did. http://www.bryco-jennings-jimenezarms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=31

Wtf that's not my typing in my last post and I also had a disassembled raven pic and a Spock facepalm(for myself) pic in there with the see through j22 for spring placement pic
Weird, well it's gotta be me; I quoted you (84minieldo) with that pic and that's my typing in bold. When I submitted there was your post with 3 pics (a Raven teardown and Jean-Luc Picard face palm), and my post followed immediately after it.
When I look at it now it's like what the heck happened here? The only thing I can figure is that I must've fouled it up. Just wish I knew how I did it. Sorry!
Got the JA 22 out to the range for the first time this morning. I shot 64 rounds of CCI Mini Mags and had 4 failures. One was a failure to eject and the other 3 were mis-feeds. That's a failure rate of about 6%. Its not ready for the carry rotation yet but not a bad start. I'm confident that it soon will be completely reliable. Accuracy was good at 10 yards though it shot a tad low but that was easily compensated for by lifting the front sight a tiny bit. Overall I'm happy thus far. Thanks all for your advice and encouragement.
