Will a Jennings J-22 slide work on a JA-22 frame?

Looking for extra slides for my JA22. (Front sight project.)

Found a semi pitted on one ebay for $9. Will it fit?

Yes, they will. Your difference will be the safety. With the Jimenez you can have the safety on and still move the slide. With an old Jennings slide you have to take the gun off of safety to move the slide.

It will work, but that's a sliding safety version, not the later push-up safety.
Therefore on the JA-22 this particular slide will not have a safety function at all.
