:( For the tables, that is. I double-checked the serial, and yes, the barrels and receiver match: serial number 2102. But the barrel rib is stamped with a patent date of July 9, 1907.

resurrecting an old thread.

I have a hammerless a.j. Aubrey 12 gauge. these were made with Damascus steel, correct?

if so, she's a really cool wall hanger, I assume?

You might consider using smaller gauge insert tubes like a 12ga to 20 ga.

You are correct. As Admin has commented, tube inserts may fill the bill. That's the way I'm going.
