Two different types of Bryco Model 48

Postby adam01364 » Fri Jul 20, 2018 5:24 am

Early Bryco Model 48 pistols featured a buffer in the frame and less mass at the muzzle end of the slide; I'll hazard a guess that slide failures precipitated the design change. (You can see the difference in the "scallop" at the muzzle end of the slide.)

Here's a couple of pictures of my early black finish Model 48 (S/N 0527xx) compared to my later production pistol in chrome (S/N 5681xx)

Oh now that's interesting. What springs can you use for a Model 48? Will T380 stuff go into this model?

Yeah, recoil and F/P springs from the T-380 interchange with the Model 48.
