j25 fix

Postby Don » Sun Jun 10, 2018 7:58 am

Awhile back I bought a j25 cheap and was in the process of working out reliability issues when it stopped firing altogether. I resigned it to the parts box but took it out and took it apart this morning. I discovered that the trigger bar that engages the cam was flopping around and not staying in position. After looking at parts on Numrichs it seems the spring that goes into the bottom of the trigger and keeps the trigger bar in place is missing. That spring is not for sale by its self but is sold as part of the trigger assembly. My question is will the trigger return spring at the top of the trigger function well as a trigger bar spring? I believe Numrich sells that spring separately. I'd like to avoid buying the whole trigger assembly if I can. Thanks.

OK I'm a dope. I just double checked the Numrichs site and they do sell the trigger bar spring. DOOH!

Don, In a pinch I've used other springs for the trigger return spring...
