How rare is the C9 Comp?

Postby Flowmaster » Sun Jul 29, 2018 6:04 pm

I saw a C9 with compensator at the gun show over the weekend. I didn't buy it, I just want to know how rare they really are. It was pretty beat up, along with the 10 or so other used Hi-Point pistols the dealer had. The guy is known for buying out policed department evidence lockers.

I wouldn't say the C9 comp is overly rare, but here's the thing: it doesn't appear that Hi-Point is making them anymore. I probably would've picked it up if it was cheap enough.

The guy had 2 of them for $125 each plus 6% tax and $2 for the background check. So that would've been $134.50 out the door said and done. Looking back, I feel like I should have bought one because they are pretty hard to find. On the other hand, brand new non-comp C9s were $155 plus tax and $2 so those were going for $166.30 out the door. I bought a pound of powder at the show and that's it.
