Has anyone here done custom slide work on a Hi Point?

Hi Point parts are really cheap on gunbroker. The slides and even entire parts kits (minus the receiver) can be had for next to nothing, I mean literally $20 plus shipping. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has played around with milling a slide on a Hi Point.

There are pictures floating around on the internet of people milling slides for Trijicon RMRs and other sights. I'd like to play around with milling a slide but then I would have to buy one of the Sieg mini-mills for like $700.

The cheap slides would be a great way to get started on custom slide serrations, windows, and RMR cuts. Even if you mess up on one, its not the same price or the same hardache as throwing a Glock slide in the trash.
