Smith & Wesson 469

Postby adam01364 » Thu Apr 20, 2017 4:51 pm

Walked into my LGS and found this S&W 469 sitting in the case with an extra magazine and two nicely broken-in leather holsters. Price: $150 + tax. 8-)

Looked at the mags and asked the guy if they were 10 rounders (anything above 10 is "large capacity" in mAssachoo$hitz, and makes the gun worth more.) He replied "I think they are" to which I said, "I'm buying the gun, and I want to also have a box of ammo with it, so I can check before you register the sale with the state." Fed 12 rounds into a mag as he watched, and then I said "make sure you check the yes box stating it's large capacity" ;)

I think I did okay. :D

Seriously? We don't have deals that good here in Guntucky! And you manage to find them in Taxachooshitz... (cue theme from The Twilight Zone)

Isn't that the truth! Adam01364 certainly does find some great deals in the most unlikely of all places!

If I lived in a "free" state I'd probably be in the poorhouse.

The nanny state is doing its best to keep the resident gun nuts financially secure.

I hadn't looked at it from that perspective...good point. My current agreement with SWMBO (since she thinks I have too many already) is that I must sell something to buy something or it has to be a Christmas or Birthday present.
