SAR arms revolver

Postby Flowmaster » Sat Jan 13, 2018 10:25 am

I was looking at the Academy Sports website for some deals on ammo and started looking at their guns. I came across this revolver.

Apparently TR is the importer and its made by Sarsilmaz arms in Turkey. $450 for a pretty unknown quality S&W knockoff seems like a bunch of money. What do you folks think?

It looks pretty cool, but the EAA Windicator 357 snubby is $150 less.

Sarsilmaz makes some very nice guns, but I don't think I'd go after it at that price.

SAR is still pretty new to the USA market, and has been imported by several different firms. Biggest problem I see is, no guarantee that parts or service will be available down the road.

I saw a youtube review of this gun and it looks like its a real sleeper.

Those windicators can be a real crapshoot and last one I messed with couldnt really be worked on without a jig. I would go armscor ofver the windicator.

I will say the 357 windicator is a cool looking gun... kind has a bladerunner look to it. If they were easier to work on I would deffinitly have a few.
