FN Browning 1906

Postby ConditionOne » Fri Mar 09, 2018 11:45 am

Anyone have any idea what a .25 cal FN browning vest pocket could be worth ? I noticed it in the LGS and took a liking to it, its in pretty good condition with lots of wear showing from its age, the grips are well worn, the left side grip has considerable cracking but it is still in one piece. I think it would function in the condition it is in, comes with a holster. priced at $200.

Sounds like a good deal to me, if I had the opportunity and the money to spare, I would get it!!

I agree that the price is fair. I would advise you that the firing pin is also the ejector and you should use care in ejecting live rounds. Dave

If you like it, buy it. They ain't getting any cheaper or easier to find.

I'd get it in half a heartbeat.
Ed Buffaloe has a real nice write up on these where he compares the 1906 Browning to the 1908 Colt.
Ed notes there were three main variants of the 1906 Browning. https://unblinkingeye.com/Guns/1908Colt/1908colt.html

If I was looking for another .25, i'd grab it. As it turns out, a lot of interesting arms, both Soviet and others common on the Eastern Seaboard (and therefore close to the import locations) are in lesser supply out here on the west coast. (Though I left Georgia for other reasons, access to interesting stuff was NOT on the list.)
