Just picked up a Rohm rg38

Postby panoz77 » Fri Jan 10, 2014 8:05 pm

I just picked up an RG38 from an add I put up on craigslist, took it home for $80. It shoots really nice and smooth, timing is perfect and condition isn't too bad either. I think the weight of this revolver makes it really comfortable to shoot, compared to my Taurus 905 9mm revolver, this thing is a kitten drinking milk.

Congrats. Only thing that has kept me from buying these when I've found them is the ridiculous $200 price tag. For another $70 I can get a new Kel Tec or something.

$200 is certainly ridiculous, under $100 in my mind is a deal for almost any functioning firearm, but I usually try to get them as cheap as I can ;)

Kiln, your pawn shops and mine must have the same pricing scheme. I've seen RG10s and their clones priced at $139 !!!

I saw this Rohm RG38 over on SKSboards.

Yup. They're bad. No real "deals" to be found at local shops here.

Looks plumish to me, just like my Ruger...

Tends to happen with cheap steel for some reason. I've noticed it a lot before on mainly inexpensive handguns.

I have no idea on the color difference in the metals, I have seen other RG-38 with the same type of "patina". It shot great, no misfires and was really smooth to shoot.
